Sustainability is our priority

Addressing our climate impact and reducing emissions are top priorities for Anaplan. Read our fact sheet for a detailed overview of our climate impact, including governance, targets, and progress.

 Our commitments

Anaplan commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by FY2050.

Near-term targets (by FY2034 from a FY2023 base year):

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions by 58.8%.

  • Reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 63.8% per USD value added.

Long-term targets (by FY2050 from a FY2023 base year):

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90%.

  • Reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 97% per USD value added.

Progress highlights

  • SBTi net-zero verification: Our 1.5°C-aligned net-zero, short-term, and long-term GHG emissions reduction targets have been officially verified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

  • Renewable energy sourcing: Over 90% of our purchased electricity in FY25 was sourced from renewables, including 100% renewable electricity for our data centers and green tariff programs for offices where available.

  • Granularity of Scope 3 reporting: We have improved the granularity of our Scope 3 calculations, with over 50% of our purchased goods and services emissions now calculated using supplier-specific data in FY25.

  • Commitment to transparency: We maintain our commitment to transparency and accountability through annual reporting to CDP and EcoVadis.

  • Sustainable office operations: We conserve energy and water through motion sensors, LED lighting, low-flow appliances, etc., and reduce waste with comprehensive recycling and composting programs and the use of reusable and bio-based products.

Next steps

The path to net-zero is complex, but our commitment remains steadfast. Key areas we have identified on our pathway toward our near- and long-term reduction targets include:

  • Continued investment in renewable energy procurement for our Scope 2 consumption

  • Collaborating with our suppliers to reduce value-chain emissions

  • Continuing to innovate to optimize for efficiency and emissions reductions

Local charity initiatives

Anaplan empowers its regional offices to sponsor and support local non-profit organizations, from raising money for people living with cerebral palsy to supporting juvenile diabetes research and organizations providing school lunches. Each holiday season, Anaplan facilitates drop-offs at its offices for employees to donate to local food banks.

From organizing a charitable auction to teaching Python skills to children, full-time Anaplan employees use their three paid volunteer days per year to donate their time to causes most important to them. Anaplan also donates used hardware to provide refurbished technology to low-income individuals and nonprofits.
