The airline industry is a volatile sector, and it will remain volatile in the future, and it feels good to have a tool like Anaplan to guide us through this volatility.

Responding to surging demand for travel, Brussels Airlines aimed to offer flights to more destinations — but fragmented budgeting and forecasting processes limited the airline’s ability to chart a clear path to expansion. Today, connected and collaborative budgeting and forecasting in Anaplan has empowered decision-makers at Brussels Airlines to map a flightpath to growth.

Tom Holsteens, Head of Controlling & BI, Brussels Airlines: Brussels Airlines is the largest airline in Belgium. We are part of the Lufthansa group and have a base in Brussels. We have operating flights in Europe, North America, and Africa, and of having a uniform Airbus fleet.

Most competitive threats are coming from economic downturns, from fierce competition, and finally from recurrent external events.

Before using Anaplan, we had to find a lot of information in different locations, which made it very inefficient and slow. While today, we are finding the information in one single platform.

And moreover, we are able to share it with all the stakeholders who need the same information.

Over the years we have developed the actual and future analytics within Anaplan. Today, on a daily basis, we are receiving new requests and the team is doing a great job by developing new solutions in Anaplan that create the necessary insights for more and more stakeholders in our company.

I couldn't imagine having to find all this information in different places, tools. While today, we have it available in one central place and we can also navigate to the right information at the right time.

The airline industry is a volatile sector. and it will remain volatile in the future, and it feels good to have a tool like Anaplan to guide us through this volatility.

My name is Tom Holsteens, Head of Controlling & BI at Brussels Airlines. And we plan with Anaplan.
